Value is one of my biggest considerations in my purchases and this is where I feel Born Tough shines
— Delfin

I have been wearing their Air Pro 7” Lined Short and their Momentum Track Suit Jogger Pant for workouts and in my daily activities. Admittedly, I am a pretty basic guy when it comes to athletic wear, black bottoms is my M.O. (hey, it worked for Mike Tyson).  So, I have both pants and shorts in black.  But, they do offer other colors for those desiring more colors & patterns.

FIRST IMPRESSION

Right out of the packaging I noticed and appreciated the little functional details on both garments that add up to a good daily wear jogger pant and workout shorts. At first touch, the Air Pro Shorts had a soft and light weight feel, while the Jogger Pant had a thick & rough feel. My concerns about the Jogger Pant “feel” was assuaged once I had a chance to try them on.

AIR PRO SHORTS

THE FIT

First, a little background information about the wearer- I am a 40ish Dad with an average build. That said, I was a little concerned about the 7” short length and the shorts having more of a younger demographic look. However, once I put them on I acclimated to the look and realized that I have some nice thighs!

WORKOUT

For general lifting in the gym, the shorts perform well. The hidden compression short pocket allowed me to keep my phone on my person without it flopping around like in traditional short pockets. When I tested the shorts on an airbike workout and short run, I noted that the compression liner did ride up the thigh. I think a longer compression liner with tighter compression or grip material would remedy this.

DAILY WEAR

The Air Pro Shorts are definitely in its environment at the gym.  But, when I wore them to run some errands there were some situations where I felt a little out of place, like at the hardware store or at meetings for my wellness business and that may be in part to my perception of the short length.  The shorts have adequate zippers, with the rear pocket zipper being reinforced. I have washed the shorts per their directions (wash cold & air dry) and they are holding up to the washings.

TRACK SUIT JOGGER PANTS

THE FIT

Out of all my jogger pants, this is my favorite. It has a flattering athletic cut that is form fitting without making me feel like I am wearing compression pants.

WORKOUT

For general lifting in the gym, the pants perform well. The bilateral pockets located at the hips allowed me to keep my phone on my person without it flopping around or getting in the way during certain weight lifting movements. Ironically, I do not like to run in jogger pants nor perform aerobic activity, so I do not have any insight there.

DAILY WEAR

The  jogger pants are versatile. When wearing outside of the gym, I felt comfortable and put together during situations like meetings, grocery shopping, and other quick errands around town. The zippers for the pockets are overbuilt and have a satisfying zip feel. I have washed the pants per their directions (wash cold & air dry) and they are holding up to the washings.

CONCLUSION OF BORN TOUGH

Value is one of my biggest considerations in my purchases and this is where I feel Born Tough shines. At the time of this writing, both garments were in the $30ish range. At this price point, I definitely see myself being a repeat customer.
